The tomatoes have started arriving.  They are not overrunning us yet, but one ripe fruit  a day and I can see many green orbs are hiding in the plantings.  This year we have planted more than varieties than past years. As I started growing my own transplants from seed.  We have at least 25 plants of just paste tomatoes grown from seed.  I found the seed in a 35mm film canister in the refrigerator this past February. Julie saved the seeds several years ago.  I guess we should take stock of the items is in the fridge more often.

The photograph above shows a Thorburn's Terra-Cotta fruit that was grown from seed.   This fruit has a deep orange color with green shoulders that are a slight challenge in determining if it is ripe.  The inside jell around the  seeds is green.   The flavor surprised me. I was expecting a sharp unripe flavor, but these fruits are mild and slightly sweet.  The fruits I have picked have been about 2 - 3 inches across, not quite sandwich sized, but very good chopped into a salad.

Yes, I agree. It is indeed a creative act for a young lad like you. I also love planting trees and plants. I have my own backyard here. I guess you can call me a "green thumb" person. I don't know, maybe I got it from my grandmother because she loves planting. I just think that tomatoes can be a good recipe to a lot of delicious meals.

When I came across your title I was honestly expecting a clock or a watch that had some tomato designs on it. I do not know why I had that thought in mind but it was really the first thing that I thought of. Anyways great job on growing your Thorburn's Terra-Cotta tomato. It might not be the size you want it to be but I'm sure the rest of the unpicked tomatoes will grow bigger when the harvest time comes.

Congratulations to that very good of a harvest of yours. It is good to hear that the time has come for the tomatoes. Tomatoes can be used for a lot of good recipes that is why I love it. I'm also growing it in my own little garden beside my house. I have a few plants that I am growing there too right now. I'm trying to practice the way you grow your plants. Your posts are very good examples of good farming. Thanks for posting this kind of articles. They are very good of a help.

Tomatoes are used in different ways and this food is also very tasty. It is very difficult to look after the plants because this plant need complete care and you did a good job. You also mention the ripe time of the tomato and this information is unique.
